A man asked Chan Master Luangpor Teean, “How to explain suffering?”
Chan Master Luangpor Teean grasped a handful of sands, turned his palm upside down and allowed the sand to fall from his fist. Pointing at the sand on the ground he said, “This is suffering.”
At that moment, the man was enlightened and he realised that suffering is the thing that we picked up and being attached to, but we can definitely let it go.
Chan Master Luangpor Teean then said, “ people with wisdom know what they had picked up and what should be let go.”
