“Meditate to sharpen your assertive edge” by Charles Wallace on Financial Times.com

Can you find a way to cool yourself down, both body and mind?

Well, body’s cooling down seems to be easy that just sit in an air conditioning room would be enough. How about your stressed out minds? I believe that many people here would know the best answer provided here is Chan Meditation. It would not only help you to calm down, but furthermore, to help you to figure out how to balance lives which can help to remove the causes of stress.
Through the article, Wallace says that,
“My personal answer to stress has been meditation, albeit practised somewhat erratically and with mixed results over the years. I have tried several types of meditation, including mindfulness, which involves focusing your attention on your breath for certain periods of the day. But the most calming sort I have found – it’s really up to the individual – is transcendental meditation, which involves repeating a mantra for two, 20-minute periods a day.”

Wallace also mentions he is not the only one who gains benefits from transcendental meditation. Relying on medicine will not be a long-tern resolution.
More and more C-levels reveal their experiences.
Believe it!

Chan Meditation brings you up to transcendental level, even more.
Give ourselves a regular time to practice Chan Meditation.
You’ll figure what differences are.

"Not Enough Time? Try Doing Nothing" by Peter Bregman, Harvard Business Review

"Not Enough Time? Try Doing Nothing" by Peter Bregman on Harvard Business Review webpage.

Many people may wish we could have more time, than the twenty four hours of one day. However, everyone only has 24 hours a day. How do we schedule our time and make it works so we could achieve our goals? People might be busier than usual and sometimes struggle on following though with their schedules. This is one of the major reasons to a highly pressured life.

Look through this week's article, you might find that giving ourselves a short break will bring up our efficiencies way beyond our imagination. Bergman says, "Here’s the most interesting thing: sitting and doing nothing has made me significantly more efficient. 20 minutes of meditation helps me avoid hours of time lost in unproductive thought, unconstructive comments, and unstrategic actions."
Jump out of your comfort zone, we need some breaks to increase our efficiency. Let's practice Chan Meditation.

Article "Your Mind & Body Are Not Separate. This Chart Explains It All"

Found an interesting article worth sharing.

"We are energy beings, this isn’t some new-age spiritual concept.

Our body has electricity that runs through it and it flows based on the cleanliness of the paths in which it travels. This is the premise behind meridian points or acupuncture points made popular in Chinese medicine.

So if we are energy and we need our energy to be flowing well throughout our body to stay healthy, is it possible for us to have blockages? Can experiences we have create dormant or ‘stuck’ energy within the body?"

The body and mind are closely connected. Find time to heal yourself though Chan mediation.

Soul or Body

"Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul."  ~Wayne Dyer
The two have such different results.
Knowing the soul is the true self, which should control the body allows us to see things in different perspectives.

Dream Big

This reminds me of Shifu's quote : "有願就有力" (Roughly translated: when you have wish/vision, you have power"  )
And it's so true. When clearly knowing your goal and direction, you are filled with energy. Heaven and earth will move to help you fulfill your dream.
I found a lot of Albert Einstein's quotes echo with what the Buddha taught. Just the 'wording' is different. ( What did you expect? With a different language and different culture, not to mention different time frame.)

What is Chan (禪)

Little Fish: What is Chan (禪)?
Big Fish: Chan is around you, inside you, outside of you.

You cannot use your eyes to see Chan, yet it is everywhere. One can not live without it.

Learning to let go

Some times we are too worried about too many things. It then becomes our burden we cannot "let go" of. In Chinese Let go = 放下。 (or "put down")

In the "song of the self nature" (said by The Sixth Chinese Chan Patriarch
Master Huineng upon his enlightenment )
sings of the true self is naturally sufficient.
